At Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Support and Healing Ministries accompany individuals and families through life’s most difficult seasons. These ministries reflect the compassionate heart of Christ, who walks with the suffering, binds up the brokenhearted, and brings peace to those in pain. Whether someone is grieving, struggling with addiction, experiencing mental or emotional hardship, or coping with illness, these ministries offer a sacred space for healing, listening, and hope.
Our parish provides support through ministries such as grief support groups, caregiver outreach, mental health resources, 12-step recovery programs, and prayer and pastoral accompaniment. In moments when life feels heavy or overwhelming, these ministries remind people that they are not alone. The Church stands with them—offering both the practical help and the spiritual support needed to take the next step forward.
Healing is part of the mission of the Church. Christ came not only to forgive sins but to restore hearts and lives. Through Support and Healing Ministries, we live out that mission by creating a culture of compassion where wounds are acknowledged, burdens are shared, and people encounter the gentle mercy of God. In offering comfort, we receive it; in bringing healing to others, we become a more whole and holy parish family.
